What was the highlight of V Lodge Manchester
Short, basic, cheap, don't expect much.
It was conveniently located and cheap for one night while travelling, arrived late and left early, heater worked, tv worked, shower worked. Basic. Pub restaurant next door closes early so no noise.
The room smelt of damp, and was not very clean, I didn't want to walk on carpet with no shoes, cobwebs, hairs, dust, unfinished around bath and sink exposed wall; looks like someone had made a coffee had been made in kettle and not cleaned, tea and coffee making stuff but no spoons, mattress very springy and noisy. No good signs or indications for hotel as hidden at back of carpark, hard for taxi to find in dark. Only one usable wall plug away from bed for charging phone or laptop. I asked specially for the 24 hour reception to keep an eye out for taxi at 5.30am, which man said he would pass on to night person, as it was a hard location to find, when I left at 5.25am there was no one at reception just a 'back soon' sign.

staff very professional and courteous
the amount of milk you get for the brew as I like a milky coffee. credit to sarah Cal and the young man on reception welcoming and very professional nothing was too big or small to help with.
would have liked dimmer switches on the walls either too dark or too light
